Credit Report PDF Won't Extract? The Readable Forms

1. Rule first: if you cannot read the field, do not write the field.
2. Identify which fields are uncertain — balance, limit, dates, status, ownership are the ones that matter.
3. Open the source document itself and read the value by eye — the document is the authority.
4. If the file is unreadable, request the §609 disclosure in another form: in person, by phone after a written request, or electronically if offered.
5. Or use the statutory option: trained personnel must explain the information furnished under §609.
6. Other formats exist: Braille, large print or audio (about three weeks); phone and mail orders within 15 days; online access immediate.
7. If a tool extracted the value, confirm it against the page — never let a guessed digit into a letter.
8. File the verified value with the document it was read from.
